Chelsea Piers Was a North Pole Goddess on 'Cosmo Queens'

Happy Holidays! Season’s greetings! Deck the halls, all that good stuff. I was struggling to nail down last-minute presents for all my loved ones, so I think I’m just going to send out the link to Chelsea Piers’ Cosmo Queens episode. It was a truly festive gift. Lemme make a note to track down the spiky choker she threw on so I can recreate this vibe at Christmas dinner. In addition to blessing Cosmo with a flawless face, Chelsea also shared a bit about what makes drag so special.

“Drag for me is the ultimate opportunity for me to play all the roles I wanted to growing up that society told me I couldn’t as a little gay boy. I get to emulate both Carol Burnett and Britney Spears in the same one-hour show.”

“Not only do I get to make people laugh, but I also get to speak on issues that the queer community faces and uplift those who often don’t feel they have a voice or a seat at the table.”

If you want to peep one of Chelsea’s performances in person, you can find her weekly at the Barracuda Lounge, The Q, and Industry Bar in NYC. Keep up with her performance schedule, (and all of her other magnificent looks,) on Instagram!
