Speaking from her apartment, Laura Hamilton, 39, explained the process of being able to fly to the country which included a PCR test and quite a bit of paperwork. As she detailed the requirements, the A Place In The Sun presenter pointed out her bruised nose.

In view of her 128,000 followers, she said: “I’m not going to show you my view, but instead I’m going to talk you through how the journey was here.”

The property expert told fans it was “pretty quiet” at the airport and went on to explain the documents required for the trip.

She also warned fans to check rules before they travel, highlighting that each country has different requirements.

“There’s a lot more paperwork, but it’s worth it,” she added.

“I’m here and I’m grateful to be filming, albeit with a bruise on the bridge of my nose,” she continued as she put her face close to the camera.

She added: “Can you see that? I managed to drop my hamster cage lid on my nose yesterday.

“Thankfully, I don’t have two black eyes.”

The mother-of-two went on to say she will be updating her fans on location from tomorrow.

Earlier today, Laura shared a picture of herself packed and ready to go the airport.

The former Dancing on Ice contestant posed wearing a red leopard print playsuit with casual black shoes.

She stood outside of her home holding onto her personalised suitcase which featured her initials.

She commented: “I’ll be helping a lovely couple find a home on the Costa da Caparica and I can’t wait to meet them later for our House Hunter drinks!

“Thank you to everyone who has continued to support the show not just over the last 12 months but since it began.

“It wouldn’t be as successful as it is without YOU!”

Laura went on to thank the “amazing production team” and Channel 4 for making the return of filming possible.

She also reassured fans that the team will be adhering to coronavirus rules while filming.

A second added: “Good luck Laura, love to the team xxx.”
