A vegan friendly Golden Globes recap
From Brad Pitt’s wisecracks to Beyonce and Jay-Z’s BYOB entrance, we’re recapping the Golden Globes and giving you an exclusive Page Six look at what happened off-camera.
Kate Beckinsale was seen with Machine Gun Kelly post-Globes
The “Underworld” actress, 46, has apparently gone from dating Pete Davidson to spending time with his best friend, Machine Gun Kelly.
After last year’s Golden Globes, Page Six exclusively revealed that Beckinsale was spotted flirting with Davidson, who was 25 years old at the time. The stars ended up dating for a couple of months before breaking up in April.
Not everyone was a fan of Joaquin Phoenix’s meatless Golden Globes
While “Joker” star Joaquin Phoenix and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association savored their success in putting together the ceremony’s first-ever vegan dinner, others were left wanting.
Not only was the seated dinner meat-free, so were the snacks at the bar during the show — the only place attendees could find fare. But to the relief of some stars, the after-parties around the Beverly Hilton weren’t sticking with the fleshless theme.
Beyoncé’s Globes bathroom break
You’d think that in the company of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Beyoncé could let her hair down for the evening. Apparently not!
A Page Six spy was stunned to see the superstar being led to the bathroom during the Golden Globes by a staffer who had an arm jutting out in front of her at face level to prevent people from taking pictures of, or even gawking at, Queen Bey.
Tom Hanks makes post-win Globes detour
Veteran Disney publicist Arlene Ludwig — who started working for the company in 1962 and spent 50 years there — sat at the back of the Golden Globes ballroom with her walker, hoping to reconnect with some of the actors she’d helped turn into stars. Page Six saw a number of A-listers offer a distant wave before returning to conversations with the evening’s sparkly ingénues.
But when Hanks — who’d just been onstage to accept the Cecil B. DeMille Award — spotted her, he threw his arms toward the ceiling and yelled, “Arlene Ludwig!” as if he’d been waiting all night to see her.
