Boosie Badazz Pissed That LGBTQ+ Community Bullied DaBaby Following His Homophobic Rant
The ‘Set It Off’ rapper, who has been defending the ‘Rockstar’ hitmaker since the latter’s controversy, also clarifies that he booked his pal for the Boosie Bash not because of the cancelation.
AceShowbiz -Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie) is not done yet defending DaBaby in the wake of the latter’s homophobic rant at the Rolling Loud Festival. Claiming that the LGBTQ+ “bullied” his pal for canceling him, the “Set It Off” rapper said that he’s so “pissed” about the whole thing.
Boosie addressed the matter in a recent interview with VladTV. “I was so pissed… I just felt like they was tryin’ to teach him a lesson for the next big rapper who wanna talk like this ‘If you ever do this, this is what gonna happen to you.’ And he did nothing,” the 38-year-old first explained.
“I think it was a setup. He did nothing. Do you know how many DJs say, ‘If you ain’t got AIDs, make some muthaf**kin’ noise! Whoo!’ How many times have you heard that in the muthaf**ka club? Come on, bro,” the Baton Rouge native further elaborated. “Like they built it on him, bro. I feel like they really bullied him.”
Boosie went on to emphasize, “I feel like the community… they bullied him, bro. Like what he said, DJs say this every night. Bro, they bullied him.” He added, “And that’s how I feel about that situation, bro. They bullied him. We say s**t when we turnin’ up the crowd. That’s all a part of your performance, you know what I’m sayin? I feel like they bullied him, bro.”
During the interview, Boosie also clarified that he booked DaBaby for the Boosie Bash not because he was kicked out from several music festivals. “Baby was already booked from last year, so it was just him coming back and do it. I actually thought he was going to flake out on me because I was calling him for like a month and he wouldn’t answer,” he pointed out.
“But I knew he was going through a lot of s**t, but he finally answered and came through for me like a real one. He really did that despite all s**t he was going through, he came to Boosie Bash,” Boosie continued. “That says a lot about him, not selling his soul.”
Boosie first came to DaBaby’s defense on July 28. “Everybody not with their nephew sucking d**k. Everybody not with that s**t. You just can’t just put that s** on everybody and expect it to be cool,” he raged during an Instagram Live. “[Lil Nas X] say he wanna perform naked onstage for charity. You don’t f**k with him like you f**k with DaBaby.”
