Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz say I Do in star-studded £3m wedding of the year
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are finally man and wife after getting married in a lavish evening ceremony at Nicola’s family estate in Florida on Saturday April 9.
The happy couple said I Do in front of a host of famous faces, including Eva Longoria, The Spice Girls, tennis legend Serena Williams and Gordon Ramsay.
The lavish £3m ceremony took place at the one of the billionaire bride’s family homes – a £76m mansion in Miami – where flowers and gowns could be seen being flurried into as late as Friday evening.
Brooklyn, 23, who looked calm as a cucumber ahead of the big day, is said to have waited patiently for his 27-year-old bride on a stage filled with flowers and plants, before the stunning actress arrived in a floor-length Valentino gown.
The young love birds are said to have spent an impressive six seconds embraced in a passionate kiss after being told they were officially husband and wife, much to the delight of their star-studded guest list.
According to reports, aspiring chef Brooklyn had six groomsmen and six maids of honour, which of course included his siblings – with Romeo and Cruz taking on the roles of his Best Men and Harper, 10, a bridesmaid.
The couple honoured Nicola’s Jewish heritage and wed under a flower-garlanded chuppah, according to the Daily Mail, with Brooklyn – who also has some Jewish heritage through his father David, whose maternal grandfather was Jewish – smashing a glass wrapped in a napkin under his heel after they were married by a rabbi.
According to traditions, the act is intended to be a moment of remembrance for the destruction of the Jewish temples.
Sister Harper couldn’t contain her excitement as she watched her big brother say his vows, and was pictured grinning from ear to ear. The ten year old looked positively glowing in a white dress complete with a crown of flowers on her head.
Meanwhile, proud parents David and Victoria couldn’t have happier during the lavish event as their first born flew the nest. They were seen arriving earlier in the day, with Victoria opting for a stunning metallic gown and David a stylish tuxedo.
The pair – who had been enjoying much family time ahead of the nuptials on their £5m super yacht, just yards away from the wedding location – held hands as they made they their way into the venue. Victoria opted for a stylish up do for the occasion.
Brooklyn and Nicola would have received the seven Jewish marriage blessings recited under the chuppah and over wine, and according to the Daily Mail, the couple could be seen taking sips.
The wedding took place in one of the giant white marquees that had been erected at the lavish property overlooking the ocean. It is then thought the guests made their way to one of the other tents for cocktails.
Following that, a third tent was created for the wedding banquet in which a menu had been designed by famous chef Thierry Isambert, who used to cook for President Bill Clinton.
