Coronation Street fans question why Alison King was ‘escorted’ out of National Television Awards
Coronation Street fans have been left baffled after Alison King, who plays Carla Connor on the show, was reportedly escorted out of the National Television Awards show.
Onlookers who witnessed the event took to social media to share a clip of the 46 year old as she held onto an unknown blonde woman's arm as she walked out of the event.
The TV star, who recently got engaged to David Stuckley after dating for over a year, could be seen trying to find her balance by looking for the side of the staircase to support herself as the person who took the video said she was "absolutely t*****d".

Agreeing with the observation, another person who saw the moment said: "Just to let y'all know, I was in the audience at the #NTAs and Carla from Corrie had to be carried out of the audience because she was so p****d this was at 9pm [sic]".
It's no secret that the NTAs often result in a night of fun, laughter and heavy drinking, but representatives for Alison contacted by OK! Online have yet to confirm or deny whether the star was actually drunk.
Tuesday night's event saw Alison walk the red carpet in a gorgeous black dress with a straight neckline and off-the-shoulder straps.
The figure-hugging gown featured a thigh-high split. The actress kept the accessories to a minimum as she wore a black choker necklace, carried a black purse and completed the ensemble with a pair of strappy heels.
Alison, whose pal Katie McGlynn recently confessed she's nervous to date men as she's afraid they "might sell a story", arrived to the event with her co-stars in a rented "party bus".
Taking to Instagram, the show's official account shared a series of snaps of the stars, including Colson Smith and Nathan Graham as they sat in the back of the bus.
They captioned the various photos: "We’re on the Coronation Street party bus to the #NTAs! Who’s supporting #TeamCorrie tonight!"
They all looked dressed to impress as the men could be seen wearing classic tuxedos, while the female stars of the show looked sensational in long evening dresses.
Colson, 21, appeared on Corrie's Instagram Stories as he said: "Hello everybody I'm on the red carpet at the NTAs and the awards are about to go down.
