DaBaby Snaps at Fan Trying to Take His Picture During Shopping Run

The ‘Suge’ rapper, who recently made headlines for slapping a female fan at concert, is caught on camera getting irritated and almost getting physical with a man who insists on getting the star’s picture.

AceShowbizDaBaby wasn’t in the mood of posing for camera during his recent shopping trip. In a video which surfaced on Monday, March 9, the 28-year-old lost his cool after a fan tried to take a picture from up close.

The video shows the “Suge” hitmaker carrying some shopping bags apparently after making a payment at the cashier when the videographer, who recognized the star, tried to get his attention. The Cleveland-born star, who was speaking to someone on the phone, responded to the man behind the camera by casually nodding his head while making his way out of the store.

After walking a few steps, another man who was ready with his own phone tried to take a picture of DaBaby, but he irritated the star for putting his phone too close to DaBaby’s face with the flash on. The rapper shoved the man as he tried to get phone away from him, but the man insisted that he just wanted to take his picture.

Clearly pissed off, DaBaby confronted the man, lashing out at him for the way he placed his phone on his face. The man said to the camera, “Call the police cuz this n***a trying to kill me.” Fortunately, the tension dissolved before it turned physical as both men walked their separate ways.

Just a day before the fan encounter during his shopping trip, DaBaby made headlines for lashing out at a female fan during a show in Tampa, Florida on Saturday, March 7. In footage which has circulated online, the hip-hop star appeared to slap the woman as he made his way to the stage at the Whiskey North, prompting an outburst from fans, which ended the show.

DaBaby didn’t even perform a song before he left the stage to a volley of boos. He had left the venue by the time police officers arrived but his alleged victim was given a form she can submit to the State Attorney’s Office if she wants to press charges and pursue the case further.

DaBaby later took to Instagram to apologize for his action. “I do sincerely apologize. I do,” he said in a video. “I’m very sorry that there was a female on the other end of that flashlight on their phone. But you know, keep in mind, I couldn’t see you because you got the flash this close to me…”

He continued while defending himself, “A lot of people did – they didn’t put it as close as you put it – but a lot of people had flash on me, and that’s OK. That’s what I signed up for. But out of all them fans – how many people know how to zoom in? Just zoom in instead of popping me in the motherf**king eye with the phone.”

“But I do apologize that there was a female on the other end. I think by this time, you know it’s a well known fact that male or female, I would’ve responded the same exact way,” he added. “I would love to apologize to you in person… I would love to make the situation better anyway I can.”
