Dash & Lily Officially Canceled After 1 Season on Netflix

It’s official – Dash & Lily will not be getting a second season!

Netflix confirms that the holiday series, based off of the book “Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares” by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan has been canceled, according to Deadline.

The Emmy-award winning show starred Austin Abrams, Midori Francis, Dante Brown, Troy Iwata and more, and was executive produced by Nick Jonas and Shawn Levy.

Here’s a synopsis: A whirlwind Holiday romance builds as cynical Dash (Abrams) and optimistic Lily (Francis) trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City, finding they have more in common with each other than they would have expected.

Keana Marie, James Saito, Jodi Long, Glenn McCuen, Michael Park, Gideon Emery, Jennifer Ikeda and Diego Guevara also starred.

If you missed it, there was a cameo in the show that you may have missed, plus, this band also made an appearance in one episode!

Dash & Lily earned a whopping 12 2021 Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including an Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program for Midori, and the show even picked up three trophies – Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program for Jodi Long, Outstanding Writing Team for a Daytime Fiction Program and Outstanding Makeup for a Drama or Daytime Fiction Program.
