Demi Lovato Announces New Album ‘Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over’

Pop star Demi Lovato has announced a new album, Dancing with the Devil… The Art of Starting Over, which is set to drop on April 2.

Lovato also shared the cover art of the album featuring the singer in a red dress with a butterfly wing.

Lovato’s latest album will be accompanied by a four-part documentary series, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, which will stream on YouTube beginning Tuesday, March 23, and concluding on April 6.

The series will explore Lovato’s near fatal overdose in 2018 and her journey back.

According to Lovato, the original title was just “The Art of Starting Over,” but she then decided to give it a double title to reflect the importance of her upcoming documentary.

“If you listen to it track by track, if you follow the track listing, it’s kind of actually like the non-official soundtrack to the documentary. Because it really does follow my life over the past couple of years,” Lovato said.

She added, “When we went through the track listing and kind of mapped out how it kind of coincided with my life’s story, it made sense to add the more emotional stuff in the beginning and then transition into ‘The Art of Starting Over.'”

Dancing with the Devil… The Art of Starting Over will feature the song “Anyone,” which Lovato performed at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

The new album will be a follow-up to 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me, which hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
