The X Factor star Olly Murs, 37, has revealed he’s “done a bit of damage” to his shin bone shortly after he had to undergo surgery on his knee in August. The Troublemaker singer was previously admitted to hospital after a fragment of bone became lodged in the back of his knee.
He sustained the injury from jumping into the air during an on-stage performance.
Unfortunately, it seems Olly couldn’t give himself the time he needed to recover from the operation and has sustained another injury.
The star had to rush back to work due to his tour commitments and taking part in Soccer Aid.
“After my last operation I was supposed to rest for about eight to 12 weeks, but obviously I couldn’t because I was jumping around on stage singing, and did Soccer Aid in the middle of that,” he said.
The star added: “So I’ve done a bit of damage to my shin bone, so I am trying to rest and work around it at the moment, so I’m not training as much.”
Luckily for Olly, his girlfriend Amelia Tank has been by his side at home while he rests his leg.
The Voice coach told The Mirror: “Nurse Tank is doing brilliantly at home, she is looking after me, I don’t know what I would do without her, to be honest!
“For the last two or three years I’ve had three or four operations on my leg, so she is used to me sitting around doing nothing with my leg up.”
Olly has been dating bikini model Amelia since 2020 and they share their Shiba Inu puppy Missy together.
Spilling on his future with Amelia, Olly divulged: “Marriage and kids you’ll have to wait and see, as we’re in no rush and are very happy as we are right now.
“Being a pet parent has definitely been a good next step!”
“I think it has prepared me and Amelia for the future in terms of having a child,” he added of their beloved pet dog.

It comes after Olly shared his hopes to join Strictly Come Dancing.
However, the singer admitted his injuries have been holding him back from signing up to the BBC One show.
He said: “If my knee was 100 per cent then I would but right now I’d say no because my legs aren’t right.
“I’ve got a stressed fracture in my shin.”
Olly went on to tell the Mail Online how he thinks he has a shot at winning.
He added: “I definitely think I’ve got what it takes.
“But right now, my knee is telling me ‘Olly, you haven’t got what it takes.’”
Olly previously had to undergo another procedure after tearing his ACL in 2019.
