Holly Willoughby returns to Instagram for first time since ITV fate ‘confirmed’

Holly Willoughby’s This Morning statement

Holly Willoughby took to Instagram on Monday morning with a post about her lifestyle brand Wylde Moon.

The This Morning presenter shared a link to the website and a post headlined: “What secrets can face reading reveal about you?”

In the caption, the 42-year-old wrote: “I’ve got the key…I’ve got the secret…fascinating.”

Holly’s Instagram Story is her first post on social media since it was reported she will present This Morning without a permanent co-host after the Philip Schofield scandal.

Instead, the mum-of-three will be joined by rotation of stars including Dermot O’Leary, Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.

According to the Daily Mail, her new contract is likely to be more lucrative than her current £700,000 package and will see her presenting from Monday to Thursday each week.

The new dynamic would be similar to Good Morning Britain, where Susanna Reid has been the main presenter since Piers Morgan walked out two years ago.

Susanna is now joined by a rota of Richard Madeley, Ed Balls and Martin Lewis on Monday to Wednesday’s episodes with Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh filling in during the back end of the week.

Holly is currently taking a break from This Morning, as she does every year while the children are off school.

Her new contract will reportedly starts when she returns to the show in September.

An insider told the aforementioned publication: “The idea of finding the next Phil to sit next to Holly has been disregarded by This Morning’s bosses.

“It will be Holly along with whichever rotating presenter is selected to join her. It will essentially be Holly’s show.

“Bosses hope that they can put all of the Schofield scandal behind them and start concentrating on the content of the show rather than the twosome presenting it.

“At least this way there won’t be any falling out.”

Phillip resigned from ITV in May after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger colleague on This Morning.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
