Jake Quickenden has hit back at fans throwing criticism at him for sharing a snap of Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt's wedding.
31 year old Jamie and 32 year old Camilla have been engaged for some time and on Thursday the pair tied the knot.
33 year old singer Jake had attended the wedding, surprising fans as he was the first to shares snaps from the event.
Documenting the reception to his Instagram story and posting a set of group photos to his main page, fans quickly flooded the comments to call him out for posting before the happy couple got to.
One said: “Beautiful pics of everyone but maybe the bride and groom might be the best ones to get in there first.”
A second added: “Should you have posted before they did?”
A third chimed in: “Why would you want to post photos before the bride and groom regardless if you asked them? Not very fair on them.”
A fourth ranted: “Whether you asked permission or not is irrelevant. You just had to post a photo right away didn’t you even before they did. It’s not like they would say no you can’t as they would feel rude to say that. Have some class and etiquette young man and stop being the laughing stock.”
Jake quickly took notice of the negative comments and tried to squash the complaints by sharing a snap of the sign on the table that encouraged attendees to share photos with a hashtag.
Jake followed up by filming himself alongside Love Island newlyweds Jamie and Camilla at the couples table where they agreed it was fine that he shared the photos first.
Taking to his Instagram story later in the day, Jake said to his followers: “Why do people just find any reason to be negative or to moan or to have an opinion when they don’t know what’s gone on?
“They don’t know that it said on the table to share photos and use a hashtag.
“They don’t know that permission was asked.
“Please, please, if you see something and you don’t know the full story, don’t comment, because it’s utterly boring.”
Jamie and Camilla are the third Love Island couple to get married, following on from Cara De La Hoyde and partner Nathan Massey, and Olivia Buckland with partner Alex Bowen.
