Joe Sugg ‘supportive’ of partner Dianne Buswell’s friendship with Bobby Brazier

Strictly: Bobby pulls Dianne close in fiery dance routine

Joe Sugg has said that he is “supportive” of his girlfriend’s close friendship with Strictly Come Dancing partner Bobby Brazier.

It comes after the pair caused a stir at the end of their Argentine Tango last Saturday, as viewers believed their lips almost touched.

Dianne Buswell, who met boyfriend Joe on Strictly in 2018, has been partnered with EastEnders actor Bobby, 20, and have so far dazzled the judges.

Speaking to The Mirror, Dianne opened up about the difficulty of her job and how supportive her boyfriend is.

“I barely get to see him [Joe] much,” she said. “But he understands. He was one of the contestants, so he understands how much time and energy it takes and how much the show means to me.

“He’s always supportive. Whatever I do with my dancing, he knows its my job and it’s my passion, and he’s always been so supportive of me and Bobby.”

However, the pair have been hit with criticism over recent weeks, as reported by The Mirror, over Dianne’s closeness with Bobby.

A source told the publication: “The cruel remarks she has read about her relationship with Bobby – who has been really supportive – have hit her hard.

“Her and Joe are still very much together and he has also been very supportive, and made it clear publicly that he has her back.”

Last week, Bobby and Dianne danced a passionate Argentine Tango to the soundtrack Sail by AWOLNATION and scored 30 out of a possible 40 points.

Joe had never been in a serious relationship until he met Dianne on Strictly Come Dancing.

The duo made it all the way to the 2018 final but narrowly missed out on the title.

However, the couple announced their romance shortly after the show ended with an emotional Instagram post.

Taking to his profile, Joe posted: “I may not have won the Glitterball, but I’ve won something a million times more special.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday at 6:30pm.
