Kirstie Allsopp, 49, has said it is time for people to “lobby the government” for change, after the Queen mourned alone today in St George’s Chapel at the funeral of her beloved late husband Prince Philip. The Location, Location, Location host said it is time for the government to “change the rules” for funerals and allow family members the opportunity to collectively grieve.
Kirstie tweeted in view of her 426,500 followers: “I hope the sight of HM The Queen sitting alone, brought home to everyone watching that the time has come to strongly lobby the Government to change the rules for funerals and allow mourning people to judge their own risk.
“Given the success of the vaccination roll out,” she added.
Underneath her fans weighed on the statement as they expressed their views on the matter.
One said: “Didn’t she request to sit on her own?”
