Lana Del Rey Pushes Back Spoken Word Album After Family Robbed

Lana Del Rey has delayed the release of her spoken word poetry album, Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass, by a month.

Del Rey announced in December that she planned to release the album on January 4, but as the day came, the singer took to Twitter.

“Hoping everyone had a great New Years, gonna wait for about a month to put out ‘Violet’ since we lost about nine days with everything going on – it’s an interesting project though, looking forward to having it out,” she wrote.

Del Rey was apparently referring to complications related to her family being robbed over the Christmas holidays.

The singer-songwriter had earlier announced that a part of the proceeds of the spoken word album will go to Native American organizations across the United States, “whether it was for preserving their rights or trying to help keep their land intact.”
