Lewis Capaldi, 24, was announcing Dua Lipa, 25, as the British Album of the Year winner, at The Brit Awards 2021, but his speech was hardly heard as the audio was muted. At one point, he even told the crowd to “shut up” and told them he was doing his job.

Viewers were quick to flock to Twitter to share their thoughts about the blunder.

One commented: “Just SCREAMED at them having to mute the entire of what just came out of Lewis Capaldi’s mouth.”

“Lewis Capaldi coming onto stage to announce the award and swear so much that the entire of his speech is muted is sending me [laughing],” a second added.

A third joked: “And we will never see Lewis Capaldi at the Brits again.”

A fourth added: “God I love @LewisCapaldi and the fact they instantly have to mute him. #BRITs #brits2021.”
