When announcing that she tested positive for the coronavirus, the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star shares a sad caricature of herself with a caption that reads, ‘Agh it finally got me.’
AceShowbiz –Lisa Vanderpump has gotten sick with COVID-19. The “Vanderpump Rules” star revealed that she’s now “sick in bed” after catching the deadly virus amid an ongoing Omicron variant surge in the states.
The 61-year-old TV personality took to her Instagram account on Tuesday, January 11 to announce that she tested positive with the novel coronavirus. When revealing her diagnosis, she shared a sad caricature of herself with a caption that read, “Agh it finally got me…#covid_19.”
A few hours later, Lisa shared another photograph of herself holding a glass of what appeared to be champagne. In the note accompanying her snap, she penned, “Cheers to a new episode of #PumpRules starting now, at 6pm! (While I’m sick in bed, not drinking),” adding a laughing face with tears emoji.
In the comment section of her posts, many of her friends and fans sent her wishes for her speedy recovery. Her co-star James Kennedy wrote, “[love emojis] feel better soon Lisa,” while “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 3 winner Trixie Mattel added, “My poor baby!”
Alice Cooper guitarist Tommy Henriksen also sent “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum encouraging words, saying, “Hope [you] Feel Better and A Speedy Recovery.” Meanwhile, an Instagram page with the username @teamlisavanderpump chimed in, “Feel better soon! Sending you so much love!! [red heart emojis].”
Lisa was the latest celebrity to announce the positive diagnosis with the virus after the holiday season. Dean McDermott, Hoda Kotb, Hugh Jackman and Debra Messing are a few of the stars who have recently tested positive as the highly contagious Omicron variant continues to sweep the states.
Earlier this month, Dean divulged that he had pneumonia over the holidays. The “Dead Again in Tombstone” actor opened up that he feared he would need to be placed on a ventilator. His wife Tori Spelling also unveiled that she and their entire family tested positive for the virus.
Aside from Dean and Tori’s family, Hoda and her two young daughters also caught COVID-19. When returning to her show, “Today“, after her test result came back negative, she shared that she was able to continue caring for her daughters 4-year-old Haley Joy and 2-year-old Hope Catherine during the isolation, noting that she “had some real family bonding time.”
As for Hugh, he contracted the deadly virus in late December after Sutton Foster, his co-star in “The Music Man”, tested positive. Then on January 6, the “Logan” star announced that he had recovered and returned to the musical theater set.
Debra, in the meantime, announced her diagnosis via Instagram ahead of the “perfect end” of 2021. At the time, the former star of “Will & Grace” captioned a selfie of herself, “I’m COVID POSITIVE. Yup.”
Then on January 5, Debra offered an update on her condition. Alongside a photo that saw her lying in her bed, she wrote, “Thank you for all the well wishes. It is day 7 and I feel like I turned a corner. Stay safe friends! [red heart emoji].”
