Louise Minchin was a contestant on the latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The former BBC Breakfast presenter gave a health update on social media today.

The 53-year-old broadcaster revealed that she is headed to bootcamp in a bid to get back into shape.

The journalist admitted her diet of “rice and beans” as a campmate on the ITV series assisted in her weight loss journey.

Taking to Twitter, Louise shared a video, in view of her 235,000 followers.

She began: “I’m on my way to bootcamp for the first time in nearly a year.

“I’m trying to get fit and strong after my castle diet of rice and beans.”

Louise continued: “If you’ve got any questions about I’m A Celebrity, I’m planning to answer some of them in my podcast.

“Send them through to me here [on Twitter] and I’ll try to get through as many as I can.”

The former BBC host captioned the post: “My @herspirituk podcast recording about @imacelebrity has been postponed until tomorrow, so there is still time for questions…”

It comes after Louise revealed that the dietary options available on I’m A Celeb has helped her shed the pounds.

“Rice and beans diet means I can wear my daughter’s jumpers!” she joked on her Instagram Stories, in view of her 113,000 followers, earlier this week.

“Had my eye on this one for a while,” she mischievously added, while showing off the navy blue stars and stripes patterned Ralph Lauren number she had swiped.

The presenter did not mention which of her two teenagers, Mia or Scarlett, she had taken her fashion inspiration from.

However, the jumper flaunted Louise’s slimmed-down figure.

It had become tricky for the broadcaster to exercise after she suffered a broken foot last year and had to spend several months in recovery.

Meanwhile, the former anchor recently unveiled her new look following her stint on I’m A Celeb.

She posted a photo of her new look on the micro-blogging site.

Giving fans a glimpse at her new look from the back, the journalist posed in a loose, white shirt in front of a verdant hedge with a neon purple sign reading: “Mode”.

The star was also surrounded by pretty white flowers, while a Christmas tree with silver baubles was also visible in the background.

In the caption, Louise announced dramatically: “Castle locks gone…”

Since her departure from BBC Breakfast, Louise regularly fronts HerSpirit podcast.
