Love Islands Olivia reveals sweet message Lana hid in her suitcase as she left villa

Love Island stars Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda were brutally dumped from the villa last week when viewers voted them the least compatible couple.

Now, after jetting home to the UK, Olivia made a sweet discovery while unpacking her suitcase as she found a message hidden inside from her villa bestie, Lana Jenkins.

Sharing the message to her Instagram Story, the TV star, 27, showed off a photo of an eyeshadow palette, on which Lana had written: "Love u x Lana x"

Text added to the photo by Olivia read: "Found this in my case, miss my bestie @lanajenkinss" followed by a pair of emojis.

Lana and Olivia quickly became friends in the villa, remaining close even after Olivia had a falling out with Lana's boyfriend Ron Hall in the aftermath of movie night.

Choosing the clip titled Ronnie Darko, the islanders were shown a compilation of clips of Ron encouraging the other guys to explore their options in Casa Amor – including a series of remarks he made to Kai about Olivia as he claimed she “couldn’t get” Tom Clare, whom she was briefly coupled up with.

“I already knew he was a fake friend. I don’t need him,” Olivia loudly told the girls in response to the clip, before getting into a row with Ron.

And that wasn't only controversy Olivia found herself in while in the villa, with fans becoming rather confused over her anger towards Kai Fagan at the Casa Amor recoupling.

Both Olivia and Kai chose to recouple with a Casa bombshell, with Olivia picking Maxwell and Kai coupling up Sanam Harrinanan.

However upon a her return to the villa, Olivia left viewers and her fellow islanders baffled when she said: "Missing me already'? Clearly not enough" before adding "his loss, my gain" and that everything Kai told her was lies.

In a later conversation with Kai she added that she wanted an apology, which he refused to give, as he pointed out that they had both recoupled.

During her appearance on Sunday night's Aftersun, Olivia reflected on this awkward moment, and admitted that having watched it back she could now see that she had quite clearly been a hypocrite.

"Let me just say, I’ve watched that clip back and I put my hands up – I’m such hypocrite!," Olivia smiled. "No, honestly, I put my hands up. That was hypocritical of me.

"In the moment, you know, it’s so intense. Emotions were high – there were real feelings there, so when I walked through those doors, I was so nervous to come back with you [Maxwell]."

She continued: "I’m just happy me and Kai have, like, sorted it all out. You know, I said to him like, ‘Thank you so much for being such a big part of my journey’.

"And Sanam, we’ve actually got a really nice friendship. She’s such a lovely girl. So yeah, I just wish them the best."
