Machine Gun Kelly, 31, gave fiancée Megan Fox a ring made out of thorns. The rockstar explained that the engagement ring was made of material that would hurt her if she ever took it off.

The star proposed to the Transformers actor earlier this month, in a bizarre ceremony the pair claimed had ended with “drinking each other’s blood”.

The ring features two stones, an emerald and a diamond, representing the couple’s birthstones.

Machine Gun Kelly spoke to Vogue about the design of the ring, which he had put together by Stephen Webster.

He said: “It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment. It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine.”

He added that the ring can be separated into two parts, as it is connected by a magnet.

“And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts,” Kelly said, as he joked: “Love is pain!”

The interview happened just as Megan posted an Instagram photo announcing the couple’s engagement.

She said: “Having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.

Megan and Machine Gun Kelly met each other in 2020, while they were filming for the movie Switchgrass.

Despite rumours of a romance, their relationship wasn’t branded official until October 2021 during a GQ interview.

In May of 2020, Megan ended her ten year relationship with her ex-husband, actor Brian Austin Green.

Brian has since started dating ballroom dancer Sharna Burgess.

He shares three children with Megan – Noah, eight, Bodhi, seven, and Journey, four.

Machine Gun Kelly, real name Colson Baker, also has a daughter, Casie, from his relationship with ex Emma Cannon.
