Amanda Owen, 46, shared a photo of herself enduring the brutal conditions at her rural dwellings in North Yorkshire, as the county was caught in a snowstorm due to unseasonably cold conditions. The Yorkshire Shepherdess was left feeling disheartened by the chilly weather and told her Twitter followers how she was finding it tough to deal with.
It’s very difficult to stay positive
Amanda typed in view of her 163,500 followers: “Conditions are dire.
“It is very difficult to stay positive, but……
“’No winter lasts forever, no Spring skips it turn’.”
She also added a series of hashtags after the quote by Hal Borland, including: “#Yorkshire #shepherdess #snow #weather #Weather #staypositive #keepgoing #SNOWING #cold #PositiveThoughts.”
In the photos shared by the TV star, she could be seen braving the spring snow in a knitted pink hat paired with a khaki jacket while tending to sheep on her farm.
Amanda also retweeted a post from the North Yorkshire Weather account that showed temperatures had plummeted to minus one in the region.
In response, fans shared their sympathies toward the star as they praised her “amazing resilience”.
One said: “You are all amazing and do amazing work. We loved watching your work with the mountain rescue. The girls and Rueben were really good. Summer will come before we know it.”
Another replied: “Oh, bless you I’m in awe of your amazing resilience. I adore your outlook. Tomorrow is another day but today you do whatever you can. Lots of love to all…”
A third commented: “I feel your pain, but as you say, no Spring skips its turn. Keep smiling.”
While a fourth remarked: “Oh we have had heavy rain since I woke up and I thought that was bad enough… Hope all them lambs are ok.”
Amanda is married to Clive Owen, 59, and the pair star in the very popular show Our Yorkshire Farm where they have opened their home to audiences across the country, sharing an insight into the day-to-day life on their very remote farm.

However, before moving to the “bleak landscape” of rural Yorkshire, the shepherdess grew up in Huddersfield to a model mother and an engineer father.
Amanda describes herself as being a slightly “non-descript child, who neither caused trouble nor excelled at anything,” as she spoke to Country & Town House magazine.
Becoming a sheep farmer was definitely not a job occupation that was in her blood
However, after a number of jobs, she ended up finding love with her now-husband Clive.
The couple have now resided at their farm, Ravenseat, for over 20 years, where they farm in a similar manner to how it has been done for hundreds of years before them.
Together Clive and Amanda are parents to nine children. Their eldest, Raven, 18, who is currently at university, Reuben, 16, Miles, 14, Edith, 11, Violet, nine, Sidney, eight, Anna, six, Clemmy, five, and Nancy, three.
Speaking about her parenting to Radio Times, Amanda previously said: “The snowflake generation, they can’t do anything.
“They don’t know anything about how to look after themselves, or a work ethic, all of that has gone out of the window. It’s our fault as parents,” she added.
