Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 56, has branded Prince Harry “unhinged” while pointing the blame at media mogul Oprah Winfrey over the rift it could be causing between the royal and his family. The former newspaper editor’s furious outbursts come after the Duke of Sussex sat down with Oprah as part of their new Apple TV+ docuseries, The Me You Can’t See.

Harry met once again with Oprah to candidly discuss his mental health struggles amid growing up in a royal household.

In the first episode of the Apple TV+ series, The Duke of Sussex addressed the loss of his mother when he was just 12, as well as the treatment of his wife Meghan Markle.

However, Piers continued to criticise the red-headed royal for speaking out about his struggles as a senior member of the royal family.

In a furious tweet for his 7.1 million followers to see, the TV host continued his criticism of The Duke of Sussex after he admitted that jet-setting for royal tours had been “hectic to the point of exhaustion.”

He wrote: “At what point does Oprah’s hugely lucrative enabling of unhinged Prince Harry’s constant assaults on the Royal Family become ‘problematic’ – and does she care about the damage it may be doing to the mental health of Harry’s relatives, or don’t they count?”

The tweet has so far gained over 5,000 likes.

However, not all his fans agreed with him.

One wrote: “Give this kid a break, he is happy, that’s the main thing, he has broken away from ‘duty’ and ‘expected from him’ u tell me any kid that wants to break away from a controlling family ends well?” (sic)

Another added: “Piers, sorry about this, but is that the same family who never let him grieve his mother’s death?

“Oh no Harry you can’t do that in public, they demand you just get on with things! That ‘family’ has done more damage to him that that of her death,”(sic) they added.

Soon after the Prince’s new docuseries aired, the outspoken media personality tweeted at the royal to “man up” and “shut up” as he claimed he was “abusing” his family.

“Oh FFS. Is there no end to Prince Privacy’s victimhood tour?” he wrote.

“Constantly abusing his family, knowing they can’t respond, is so pathetic & cowardly. Man up, Harry – and shut up.”

The ITV presenter was responding to the comments Harry made in his new interview with Oprah, where the royal said he felt he was the Firm’s “yes man”.

Responding to a social media user who said he has a “complete lack of understanding and empathy”, the TV presenter branded the Duke of Sussex’s commentary as “unfair”.

“What ’empathy’ is Harry showing his family as he constantly trashes them in public?

“It’s grotesquely unfair (they can’t answer back) outrageously hypocritical, and he’s making millions from doing it.

“THAT’S appalling,” he penned in response.

Earlier this year Harry sat down with his wife Meghan and Oprah for a landmark interview about their decision to step away from royal life.

Since stepping down from royal duties and moving to America, the couple have set up home in Montecito, California.
