Serbias Eurovision entry baffles fans as they sing about Meghan Markle

Serbia's Eurovision entry Konstrakta left fans completely baffled when they sung all about Meghan Markle's "healthy hair" during their performance.

During the 66th Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday night (May 14), Serbia's entry began with the lines: "What could be the secret of Meghan Markle's healthy hair?"

Ana Đurić known professionally as Konstrakta performed the catchy track, where another line could be heard: "What could it be? I think it's all about deep hydration."

Baffled fans were taken aback while tuning in from the comfort of their own homes, with many taking to Twitter to note what they had just heard.

Not sure what they were hearing, one keen Eurovision viewer penned: "Is nobody going to mention Serbia's song about Meghan Markle's hair? I mean, WTF?"

Another said: "Serbia get out, singing about Meghan Markle’s hair, that’s maddddd."

"So random that Serbia's song was about Meghan Markle," echoed a third.

While a fourth added: "The best part about Serbia’s song was name dropping Meghan Markle."

Speaking about the track, popstar Ana Đurić said that the Duchess "isn't that important" in Serbia, adding: "but she’s representative of all those people in the media that we’re focused on.

"She hasn’t contacted me yet, but I’d like for her to hear it!

"This is a song about the atmosphere in which we’re living, which has put health as the highest value."

This comes after winners of the contest Kalush Ochestra, Ukraine's entry, stole the hearts of Europe Saturday night (May 14).

Winning a whopping 631 points – of jury and viewer votes combined, fans of the show were overjoyed when Ukraine took home the gong.

In a rare turn of events the United Kingdom's entry Sam Ryder came in second place with 466 points – marking a huge shift in our Eurovision stature.

If popular TikTok star Sam had nabbed the gong with Space Man it would have been the UK's first win since 1997.
