Strictly fans react to Gorka Marquez as Nikita Kanda faces dance-off
Nikita Kanda Says Her Dance On Saturday Is Dedicated To Her Mother
The first episode of Strictly Come Dancing: The Results sees Les Dennis and Nikita Kanda return to the dancefloor tonight in a bid to make it through to the next round of the BBC competition.
On Saturday, Nikita and her Gorka Márquez performed their Charleston to Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) by Beyoncé, earning a total of 36 points and placing second-to-last on the leaderboard.
Meanwhile, comedian Les finished behind her with just 31 points after performing Samba to Rock The Boat by Hues Corporation with his partner Nancy Xu.
When Gorka and Nikita were announced for the dance-off, many fans had a similar reaction, taking to Twitter to share their views.
“Gorka looked like he knew that was coming,” while another named Vikki claimed: “The extent to which Gorka could not give a toss about this is *delightful*.” (sic)

“Poor Gorka, we need to get him to win one year!” wrote Meena, while another fan complained: “Gorka has come 2nd in the final 3x now. He now needs a partner to take home the trophy.”
While Ryan argued: “I feel like Nikita is being set up for a fall. 2 difficult routines for the first 2 weeks and a horrible song choice for the Charleston.
“I hope she gets though. She isn’t the worst dancer and she shows so much potential. Gorka is a great pro for her.” (sic)

According to bookies, EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, who is paired up with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, currently looks like the show’s frontrunner.
Sam Boswell, spokesperson of BetVictor, said about the latest odds: “Eastenders star Bobby Brazier has been backed to land the Glitterball trophy at 11/5.
“He’s been the favourite since the market went live! Bobby and Dianne are set to dance to the Charleston, to Do Your Thing by Basement Jaxx.”
Meanwhile, it seems fellow EastEnders star Nigel Harman is hot on his heels with odds of 7/2.
“His price has been cut as he was originally coming in at 8/1,” Sam revealed.
Other contestants on this year’s show include Channel 4 News anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Emmerdale star Adam Thomas and Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington.
Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
