She's no stranger to having an opinion, and now Susanna Reid has hit back at those who criticised her for showing off her cleavage.

The broadcaster, who 'sent love' to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after their miscarriage, made headlines after wearing a "sexy" dress while interviewing Home Secretary Priti Patel.

The 50 year old wore a green low-cut, animal print dress on Wednesday's edition of Good Morning Britain.

However, Susanna hit back at her critics and shared a screenshot of a news headline on her Instagram page.

She wrote: "SHOCKER! Woman has cleavage. Realised it is STILL before watershed so here's a nice covered up version."

The television presenter's fans were quick to come to her defence and left supportive messages for the star.

A loyal fan commented: "Wear what you want! If people have a problem then I'm concerned for them.

"I loved your green dress and didn't see the issue. Clearly lockdown is causing people's boredom to run rampant," another follower wrote.

A third said: "You always look stunning and do brighten up a day," while a fourth person added: "I really couldn't see anything wrong with your dress you looked lovely."

Susanna recently turned 50 and opened up about reaching the milestone birthday.

Speaking to You magazine, she expressed: "Age is not an issue any more.

"There is no longer a cutoff point in my job. Fifty used to be a looming date on the horizon when you thought, 'How much longer might I last?' I don't think that's the case now."

The brunette beauty went on to name several other successfull women who are in the same age bracket as her and are working hard.

Susanna, who was praised by co-star Piers Morgan, continued: "Sophie Raworth rang me yesterday to wish me happy birthday.

"I went to school with her little sister. There's Emily Maitlis and Fiona Bruce and Kirsty Wark. It isn't an issue, so it doesn't hold fear.

"I don't feel like I'm in a battle. I've always joked that ageing is a blessing and I genuinely feel it. Especially over the past year, when things have been so dreadful."
