Tearful Janette Manrara cries in sweet video with baby Lyra as she says ‘I cannot cope’
Strictly Come Dancing pro Janette Manrara revealed just how emotional motherhood can be as she posted an adorable clip of herself getting tearful at her baby girl on Saturday.
The former Strictly star, 39, welcomed her first child – a baby girl called Lyra Rose Skorjanec with her husband, Aljaž Škorjanec, 33, on 28 July, 2023.
Now the new mum has shared an insight into her daughter's first month and expressed her love for her "little human" in a heartfelt clip posted to her 588,000 Instagram followers.
Janette revealed her little girl was "a little bit snotty" as she admitted she would do anything to help her, including "suck her nose boogers out", but joked she wished she could do more.
Janette has been keeping fans updated on Lyra's journey so far and the Bank Holiday weekend was no different.
Sharing a sweet clip of herself cuddled up to the newborn to her Instagram Stories, Janette could be heard whispering: "I can't cope" as she watched her little one.
A single tear fell from her eye as she snuggled Lyra and gently placed a loving kiss on her head.
Writing across the top of her Instagram Story, Janette told her fans: "Her little cooing sounds! I cannot cope.
"Tear in my eye as well. The hormones are still strong but so is my love for this little human," followed by a love heart emoji.
Janette has been embracing motherhood since welcoming her daughter last month and recently shared a glimpse at the new family-of-three's first outing.
The pregnancy came as quite the surprise for the couple, who were just about to start their IVF journey before Janette fell pregnant.
The dancer recently told fans that she felt "confident and happy" just weeks after giving birth.
Taking to social media, the pro-dancer posed for a selfie in the mirror as she wore black underwear.
In the caption she openly wrote: "Day 24 post partum. Day 1 of slowly getting back on stage!
"Every single pregnancy & post partum journey is different. Feeling confident and happy in my own skin and knowing that all that really matters is that Lyra and I are both healthy and happy.
"I'll take each day one at a time and at my own pace. Sending love to all the moms out there in their own postpartum journeys. We're all amazing!"
