Kelsey Parker has opened up about the latest heartbreaking tragedy that has affected her and her husband Tom Parker’s family.

Taking to Instagram, Kelsey said there was “never a right time to ever post this” before going on to reveal that her and Tom’s dog Buddy was hit by a van and sadly had to have his leg and tail amputated.

Explaining the incident happened when The Wanted singer Tom was two days into his treatment following his brain tumour diagnosis and she was 36 weeks pregnant with their second child, Kelsey began her post: “There was never a right time to ever post this. However Buddy was hit by a van back in September. He had to have his leg and tail amputated.

“Tom and I were on our way to London, I was 36 weeks pregnant and we were on day 2 of treatment (Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy)”.

She continued alongside the snap of Buddy following his operation: “When I got a phone call from my Older Brother Sammy who said ‘Kelsey I have some bad news! Buddy’s just been run over outside Mums.

“I had to call you as it’s not looking good. They have rushed him to the vets.’ Honestly my brother is the least dramatic person. From that call I thought we had lost him”.

The 30 year old went on to explain that that the vets have been “so shocked at his recovery” following the horrible incident and called Buddy a “walking miracle”.

Kelsey said: “We were so panicked and my Mum called to say 'Kelsey he is stable but his leg is so badly damaged the only options is to amputate, they had also found a kebab stick in his rectum that had missed every vital organ in his body' – this dog truly was a walking miracle so I said whatever it takes we must do.

“Buddy underwent surgery to have his leg amputated. He came home the next day and completely bounced back. The vets have been so shocked at his recovery.”

The mum of two – who runs performing arts school K2K Stars – says she and Tom, 32, were left thinking “could our luck get any worse” and thinks even Hollywood film producers would think their story is “too farfetched”.

Kelsey continued: “Buddy is living with my auntie atm as it’s a bit too much to give him the love and attention he needs.

“We love him so much and he is doing amazing on his three legs, we are so proud of him.”

“I know what you’re thinking- and at the time we thought the same- could our luck get any worse. Honestly if we took our “life story” to Hollywood to pitch as a film they’d say. No way too farfetched”.

Kelsey concluded the emotional post by calling Buddy a “miracle just like Tom”. “Buddy is an amazing dog he is our miracle dog- Just like Tom. Miracle buddy. Miracle Tom #mybabydog #dogsofinstagram #dog” she wrote.

It comes after Tom revealed last month that he had been told by doctors that there has been a “significant reduction” to his brain tumour.

Tom, who shares daughter Aurelia and son Bodhi with Kelsey, announced back in October that he had been diagnosed with an inoperable and terminal stage four glioblastoma.
