Whoopi Goldberg doesn’t like to gossip about work — or when other people do it

Whoopi Goldberg‘s co-hosts threw some major shade in the recent “View” tell-all “Ladies Who Punch” — but Goldberg says she had no interest in gossiping about the inner workings of the talk show.

“I didn’t talk to the guy,” Goldberg said on Thursday’s “Watch What Happens Live” of author Ramin Setoodeh. “I didn’t care about the book. Because what happens for me at work is not for everybody. It’s not their business. I don’t like talking out of school and I don’t like other people talking out of school.”

She said she hasn’t read the book.

In “Ladies Who Punch,” many current and former co-hosts share explosive behind-the-scenes drama from the show’s more than two decades on air — much of it having to do with creator Barbara Walters making their time there “miserable,” as Jenny McCarthy put it.

And former co-host Rosie O’Donnell took aim at Goldberg, telling the book’s author, “Whoopi Goldberg was as mean as anyone has ever been on television to me, personally — while I was sitting there.”

On “WWHL,” host Andy Cohen said to Goldberg of the book, “Rosie had some strong words about you.”

She brushed off the insults by saying, “That’s OK.”
