I bought a dresser for $30 and totally transformed it with Amazon bargains – I flogged it for $550, it’s easy money
A FURNITURE FLIPPER has revealed how she makes money upcycling people's unloved furniture.
Jasmine, from the US, purchased a drab wooden dresser online for $30 and transformed it to sell on and make a profit.
The professional furniture flipper knows a thing or two about taking old-fashioned furniture and making it look modern and shares her process on her TikTok account, Pretty Little Flips.
Although the dresser looked pretty outdated, Jasmine had big plans for it and was able to make a profit of $486 by jazzing it up with Amazon bargains.
She got straight to work by giving the dresser a good clean as you can clearly see it hadn't been given any TLC for a long time.
Jasmine then sanded the dresser down using 80 grit sandpaper and her trusted DEWALT electric sander.

The dresser was in a bit of a state, so Jasmine used wood glue to do some minor repairs to it before getting stuck in and decorating it.
She wanted to give the dresser a more modern look, so went to Amazon to buy some legs for the dresser to stand on for $20.
Jasmine then primed the dresser and used paint she already had at home to create a whitewash on some of the drawers and painted the rest of the dresser a stunning duck-egg blue.

She then bought the dresser new hardware on Amazon for $13 to give it a more modern feel.
Jasmine also reused some of the dresser's old handles, but spray painted them gold to match the new ones.
In total, Jasmine spent $64 creating the now mid-century modern dresser.
Viewers of the video were in awe of her talent, and Jasmine said the entire project took her just four hours to complete.
