I'm a savvy shopper and swapped from Morrisons & Aldi to M&S after my food shop came to over £100 – here's how I got on | The Sun

A KEEN bargain hunter decided to swap her weekly food shop from Morrison’s and Aldi to M&S to see if it worked out any cheaper – and was left stunned by the results. 

Louise, known online as @louiseinlondonnn, explained that for the last few weeks, her supermarket haul had set her back more than £100. 

But after hearing about some of the bargains available at Marks & Spencer’s, she decided to see if it lived up to the hype. 

In a new TikTok reel, the savvy shopper said: “With my weekly food shop coming in at way over £100 with Morrisons and Aldi, and with reports on Marks & Spencer’s being much cheaper, let's put it to the test. 

“Here’s me just picking what I normally buy from M&S. 

“They do two reasonable-sized chicken legs for £1.50 which is an absolute bargain and were completely sold out after I picked up mine.

“A block of cheese, £2.50. Bargain. 

“Not forgetting the ginger shots. Some alphabet spaghetti.

“Let’s put it to the test.”

During the 36-second video, Louise is seen picking up a range of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and sweet treats. 

This included a bunch of bananas, a bag of white potatoes, some Pink Lady apples, a pack of beef mince, bacon and breaded fish fillets. 

She also picked up a few treats, including four Banoffee Hot Cross Buns, some Golden Crunchy Creams biscuits and a pack of Percy Pig sweets. 

At the end of the short reel, she reveals that her entire shop cost her £99.56 – meaning it did come in cheaper than previous hauls from Morrisons and Aldi. 

Her test attracted plenty of attention online, gaining more than 100 likes and 10,200 views. 

In the comments, other TikTok users shared their reactions, with one writing: “Quality is better as well so don’t are you saving you getting good quality?” 

Louise replied: “Definitely better quality.”
