Manu Atelier Taps Cool Brand ROTATE for Its First Ever Footwear Collab

For a partnership between two ultra-trendy brands to be successful, both teams must find a way to balance their signature designs with the best of what the other has to offer. Doing so effortlessly, Manu Atelier has teamed up with cool-girl label ROTATE Birger Christensen to create its first footwear collaboration. And to celebrate the new line, the designers tapped content creator, Jen Ceballos (@endlesslyloveclub on Instagram) for its photo campaign, matching the offering’s cool vibe to a tee.

“ROTATE approached us, first, as they wanted to expand into the footwear category and as we always wanted to work together at some point on some unique project — we thought this could the perfect opportunity,” Merve Manastir co-founder and creative director of Manu Atelier (with Beste Manastir Bagdatli), tell BAZAAR. “For our very first collaboration we wanted to align ourselves with the right brand and ROTATE was the perfect fit in terms of [design] values and purpose,” Bagdatli continues.

Founded by Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen, Danish brand ROTATE has become synonymous with party attire that’s chic, yet playful with glam ’80s influences to spare. Easily identified by its trend-driven details and statement-making fabrics, they traffic in going out pieces.

“For us, shoes are always the final touch on an outfit but you own fewer shoes than you do clothes – it’s so important your shoes can add versatility to your wardrobe and work for different occasions and outfits,” the ROTATE founders explain. “As stylists and influencers, we’ve always believed in mixing, matching and reusing, and this collection is perfect for that.”
