My boyfriend got me the most bonkers 'flowers' for Valentine's Day – he knows I love broccoli but he went ALL OUT | The Sun

EVERY woman likes getting flowers on Valentine’s Day.

But one girlfriend was left gobsmacked when her boyfriend opted for less traditional florets… and covered their home in tenderstem broccoli.

While India Sasha was out of the house, her boyfriend Eddie scattered broccoli through the living room, up the stairs and on their bed.

She returned home to the green paradise and was told to close her eyes before he led her into the living room.

The 22-year-old laughed: “At least I’m getting one of my five a day.”

Eddie also ran a candle-lit bath decorated with broccoli around the side and a plate of cooked tenderstem for India to snack on while relaxing.

“Oh, it’s real tenderstems.

“Oh my God… you got a bouquet of tenderstems for me?

“Is that why you did this for me?

“You’re so cute!”

India is an influencer from Belfast, Northern Ireland with over 500,000 followers on popular video sharing app Tik Tok.

Traditionally on the iconic love day, people will decorate their homes in rose petals, but Eddie clearly had more personalised plans in mind for his beau.

People flocked to the comments of their video to suggest tenderstem broccoli would have cost more than roses.

One laughed: “Knowing how much tender stems costs, this definitely cost more than roses.

“Well done Sir.”

Another quipped: “This is equally weird and adorable, I love it.”

Others shared that this would be their ideal Valentine’s Day surprise.
