Aldi launches £2.50 ‘dupe’ for popular £27 Aesop hand wash
If you love luxury soap brand Aesop but hate its high-end prices you’re in luck, as supermarket Aldi’s beauty line Lacura has just launched its very own budget alternative to the popular Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash – with a price difference of more than £24.
Available to buy in store and on Aldi’s website, Lacura Wellness Aromatic Hand Wash, £2.49 here, bears a striking resemblance to the pricier original, with an equally-luxe looking bronzed bottle that will be sure to impress your guests.
Similar to the Aesop best-seller, which retails at £27 here, Lacura’s version is packed with essential oils that claim to remove bacteria and keep the skin hydrated.
Savvy shoppers can choose between two different scents: avocado oil and verbena leaf extract, or argan oil and aloe vera, both boasting a gentle, non-drying formula.
For those keen to explore the new range, Lacura has also launched a Wellness Aromatic Hand Lotion, £2.49 here, in the two scents. This could be compared to Aesop’s Ressurection Aromatique Hand Balm, which costs an eye-watering £70 for the same sized bottle.
Despite only just dropping in store and online, Aldi’s new range of affordable hand care products have already racked up five-star reviews, with shoppers flocking to the website to share their thoughts.
Speaking of the hand wash, one shopper writes, “I checked frequently for a couple of days waiting for this new range to become available as I had a hunch it would be high quality. I'm pleased to say I wasn't disappointed.
“It's seriously good and at a fraction of the price of similar brands it's a bargain too! It leaves my hands soft with a subtle scent.”
“I bought the Avocado version and lotion as well which I'm yet to try but I'm sure will be just as good. My hand wash of choice from now on,” the customer continues.
Another appeared equally impressed, writing, “Amazing. Smells so good, I'm obsessed.”
With the constant hand-washing and sanitising we all do nowadays, it comes as no surprise that we’re paying more attention to the hand care products we buy – and these budget-friendly versions from Aldi are definitely worth a try.
You can shop the whole range on Aldi’s website here, or check your local shop’s stock.
