The mansion also has a rich history besides being owned by Bing Crosby. The guest house on the property is fully equipped with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a decked-out kitchen and living room. It was nicknamed the ‘JFK Wing’ after it was rumored to be a rendezvous for actress and singer, Marilyn Monroe, and United States President John F. Kennedy. The two were said to have an extended affair and would often meet in secluded and private areas, one of which was Bing’s 24-hour security hideaway.
But JFK and Monroe aren’t the only two to take advantage of the privacy of the desert area of the Thunderbird property. According to David Emerson of the Compass real estate firm, there has been “a long list of dignitaries, politicians and celebrities” that have visited the mansion over the years.
