Full Moon horoscope: How will December’s Cold Moon affect you tonight?

Horoscopes: How Princess Margaret influenced astrology

December’s Full Moon is traditionally known as the Cold Moon, named after the chill of winter settling around us. Tonight, the Moon will rise opposite the Sun in the sign of Capricorn and this promises to be a challenging aspect for your horoscope today. Full Moons arrive halfway through the monthly lunar cycle, first appearing as a New Moon and slowly growing in size before our very own eyes.

Full Moon’s are consequently seen as a culminating moment of sorts, that arrives right when it’s needed.

Any seeds planted and projects started two weeks are about to bear fruits but that is not a sign you should rest on your laurels.

In astronomical terms, the Full Moon will not peak until Wednesday morning when the Sun and Moon are exactly 180 degrees from one another.

But this alignment only lasts a fleeting moment and the celestial forces are already exchanging energies in your horoscope.

This alignment is known as an opposition in astrology and can be a challenging aspect to deal with if you are unprepared.

Think of two signs across each other on Zodiac wheel and feel the tension of the two influences at polar opposites.

But not all is bad either, as this Full Moon is expected to usher in some much-needed change.

And after what has been an extremely challenging year for most, a wind of change is bound to be welcome news.

According to astrologer Jamie Patridge of astrologyking.com, the Cancer Full Moon is positively matched with the planet Uranus today.

Consequently, the astrologer expects this Moon to focus on everything relating to change, freedom and excitement.

Mr Patridge said: “The December 2020 Full Moon is also under the influence of a spiritual and artistic fixed star that brings good health, honour, riches and pleasure.

“It is an excellent omen for the easing of restrictions following the release of the coronavirus vaccine.”

With the Sun opposite the Moon tonight, issues surrounding your family and intimate relationships will come into focus.

Mr Patridge also expects opposing forces to clash: work vs home, what you need vs what you want.

Keep this in mind because forces beyond your control will go head-to-head with forces from within.

Odds are this conflict will leave you drained, and the Moon’s qualities will draw on your emotions and instincts.

These aspects will reach their zenith with the Full Moon so be ready to use them to their fullest.

Mr Patridge said: “Subconscious awareness allows for an impartial and balanced look at your personal relationships.

“You will see any relationship dynamics or negative feelings causing disharmony.”

It is also important to remember the Full Moon in Cancer is here to wave goodbye to 2020.

There will be a great release of energies in the heavens and that could be a good starting point for your new year’s resolutions, plans and goals.
