A woman told TikTok that she used to live in a closet and was even homeless at one point – but now she lives in her extravagant ‘dream home’.

Taylor, known as @tbeepbop on the video-sharing platform, posted a clip to show people how she beat her financial struggles.

She captioned the footage: “It’s a wild ride going through old photos watching these five years unfold.”

The TikToker continued: “Five years ago I was living in the closet of a 1br/1bth with FIVE people living in it. Drowning in debt.”

Confined to the small room, the woman just about fit a single bed in the closet with her clothes hanging up right beside her.

Fast forward five years and she is now living in a technicolour dream, with optical illusion rugs to melting disco ball decorations.

The house is a far cry from the on-trend grey and white themed homes, as the woman has opted for a more colourful and bold design.

Each room varies from theme, with her bedroom resembling a fairy cottage with greenery attached to the walls and pink coated window frames.

However, the living room appears to be more jungle themed with a striking leopard rug taking centre stage.

Even better, she even has her own tiki bar!

Taylor added text to the video that said: “Now I’ve made my dream home a reality.”

Many wondered how the woman managed to escape from the confines of the closet.

She told a user in the comments: “I lived way below my means to save, was homeless for a little, did odd jobs like brain scan testing, worked extreme hours and and weekends, invested.”

Another asked how she managed to live in a one bedroom house with five people.

She replied: “One in the bedroom, then the living/dining room was split in half with tapestries & a couple lived on one side and another single person on the other.”

The woman often shares videos of her funkily decorated home to her 28,000 TikTok followers.

Her transformation video has now racked up 786,000 views and 170,000 likes.

Inspired by the woman's achievements, people took to the comments to congratulate her on her ‘Pinterest’ worthy home.

One person commented: “Seriously tho your home is gorgeous and congratulations on your growth!”

Another user added: “And now you live in the WAP music video?!?”

A third person said: “Apparently I have your entire house saved to my Pinterest board.”

Someone else noted: “You have a talent for interior design because that closet looked pretty good but your current home is amazing.”

Meanwhile, a fifth person stated: “No because this place looks so INVITING like it’s so pretty and it's like you let your imagination run wild and it’s truly inspiring.”

What a dose of Monday morning motivation!
