Lucy Mecklenburgh has given fans an update on the latest renovations at her Manchester home that she has been busy transforming with her fiancé Ryan Thomas.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 30, who previously revealed how former Corrie star Ryan, 37, bought the house without her even seeing it, gave her 357,000 followers of her home account, Lucy Meck Interiors, a glimpse of the status of their home.

Lucy, who shares one year old son Roman with Ryan, took to Instagram and penned: "Lots of you asking about the new house up north…This is the progress so far!"

She continued: "All the ceilings have come out. Steel gone in this week and we are lowering the ceiling for more head height in the loft conversion."

"Obviously we have lots to do still. We made some changes to the plans so just waiting for them to be approved also."

Lucy, who has described how this was is her first 'period property', panned to the stripped-back staircase at the Edwardian property before taking a look at the open-plan living and dining area.

The mum-of-one recently revealed how the couple chose to knock down a wall in order to convert it into a gorgeous bright and airy family space.

A beautiful bay window, featuring stained glass, also looks out over the sprawling garden and floods the room with natural light.

Lucy, who recently revealed that she would like herringbone flooring, slowly made her way around the property which consisted of exposed brick walls and floorboards.

Taking a look upstairs, Lucy turned the camera towards the loft beams as she revealed that all of the ceilings have been removed to prepare for their loft conversion.

Ryan and Lucy shared the news about their new house in March as the doting mum-of-one shared a snap of herself holding a key as she and and Ryan stood on a doormat that had "Home sweet Home" written on it.

In the caption, she told her 1.7million Instagram followers: "New house, new project, new memories to be made," followed by a yellow heart emoji and a house emoji.

She continued: "@ryanthomas84 bought our new Manchester home without me viewing it he is a very brave man hahahah!!!

"I’ll be posting the full renovation process on @lucymeckinteriors," alongside a celebration hands emoji and a yellow heart emoji.
