Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have been longtime members of the This Morning family, hosting the show together since 2006.
News swirled earlier this year that the married couple, both 60, could be ousted from the ITV daytime show due to a diversity shake-up by show bosses, and it was confirmed recently that they will be replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
Both Ruth and Eamonn are said to be "furious" at the axing, with the mum of one appearing to make a sly dig at Alison in a recent interview where she said that they "didn't do a reality show and get an overnight job on the telly".
A source told Mirror Online about how the couple were feeling: “Eamonn is pretty furious and everyone feels for him and Ruth, they are well liked on the team, but sometimes tough decisions have to be made.”
A statement from This Morning said: “We have a stellar presenting line up on This Morning in Holly & Phillip and Eamonn & Ruth. Any additions to this line up will be announced in due course.“

Ruth revealed to The Daily Mail: “I was falling in love with him but if he’d said he didn’t want any more children I’d have said, ‘It’s been lovely knowing you but let’s stop this now.’
"So I asked him, ‘Look, I know you have three children, but would you consider having more, because that’s what I want?’”
As well as their son, the pair share their dog, Maggie. The Collie-cross lives with the couple in Surrey and the pair have even argued about who the pup would go to if they were to split.

"There are times when he really annoys me and I really annoy him and there are times when I think, 'Get out of my face.' Obviously, you're not always going to get on, but you have to make it work."
She added: "Underneath it all, we know we have a strong relationship."
