Inside the very cosy set of Love Island spinoff show The Cabins
Telly viewers missing their Love Island fix can look forward to new dating show The Cabins, which starts in January on ITV2.
The brainchild of Love Island producers, the show plants six hopeful singletons in three wintery log cabins and waits for sparks to fly or fizzle.
Keen to try something new following the cancellation of the last Love Island series due to the pandemic, telly execs came up with this latest offering.
The dating show, which hits screens next week, challenges three couples who have previously never met to spend 24 hours together before they decide if they are a match.
Recruiting a load of genetically blessed normal people, the three pairs are shacked up in separate cabins for a day and night to get to know each other.
Each cabin features a double bed meaning couples will need to share, or someone will be sleeping on the floor.
Think Married at First Sight meets Love Island with a peppering of Love Is Blind, and you won't be far off.
Each couple's cabin features a living area, bedroom and kitchen to cook up some romantic meals.
The alpine inspired interior is the perfect space for cuddling up with each other in front of the fire.
Each cabin also boasts its own hot tub and games room, perfect for getting to know each other in.
Describing the hotly-anticipated new show, bosses promise that this is a first date like no other – but it's up to the couples whether they check in or check out the cabin.
“Each sumptuous cabin boasts a hot tub, games room, romantic outdoor seating and fully equipped kitchens to rustle up date-worthy treats," they said.
“After 24 hours together, the couples must decide if they are lovestruck – or lovelorn."
The show's official synopsis claims that the show "ditches the dating apps", replacing them with a chance for singletons to really get to know each other instead.
"Simmering hot tubs, romantic crackling fires, cosy sofas, it's all here in ITV2's brand new dating show, The Cabins.
"Singletons are ditching the dating apps, giving up the ghosting and casting off the catfishers in favour of spending 24-hours getting to know each other in an intimate log cabin," it says.
The Cabins is on ITV2 at 9pm on weekdays
