Love Island star Maura Higgins challenged boyfriend Chris Taylor to give her a natural makeover, and seemed less than impressed with the results.

In the hilarious video titled “my boyfriend does my make-up”, the loved-up pair had fans in fits of laughter at Chris’ attempt at an “everyday make-up look” using products from Inglot, a beauty brand that Maura is an ambassador for.

Things get off to a bad start when Chris finds a bizarre way to prep Maura’s foundation brush before applying her base.

“Don’t lick my brush,” Maura says with a look of disgust.

She then questions his’ “aggressive” application technique, which sees the Leicester lad use a stabbing motion to apply her foundation.

“Try not to murder me,” she jokes.

Using the Inglot X Maura All The Drama Liquid Eyeliner, £10 here, Maura then challenges Chris to recreate her trademark feline-style wing.

“Can I use a ruler?” Chris begs his other half, before going rogue with the liquid liner.

To finish off Maura’s make-up, Chris opts for the Inglot X Maura Naughty Nudes Lipliner, £8 here, and Inglot X Maura Naughty Nudes Lip Gloss in the shade Gold Glory, £12.50 here.

“That’s such a nice, subtle day look,” Chris says, admiring his work. “Not too much, not too little, just right.”

However he seems less confident when Maura asks for a mirror, so she can see the look for herself.

“I’m just going to leave the mirror here. In your own time, have a look at that,” he says nervously, before running off out of the room.

It’s perhaps lucky he does because, in true Maura fashion, she doesn’t hold back.

“Are you f****ing joking?” she screams as she catches a glimpse of the finished results.

“Look at the state of me,” she adds in a fit of giggles.

The make-up challenge went down a treat with Maura’s 3.1 million followers, with one fan posting: “Someone give these two their own TV series, what a match.”

Another fan commented: “this is brilliant, #relationshipgoals.”

While we won’t be hiring Chris as our personal make-up artist any day soon, we think the pair would make the perfect TV duo.
