Some McDonald’s fans are only just discovering that the fast food giant’s popular Chicken Legend is no longer available and it hasn’t been for quite some time.

In fact, there’s even a petition to bring back the item after all of its varieties were scrapped in October 2022.

At the time of the removal, fans were not happy with the sudden disappearance of the well-liked chicken burger and took to social media to share their anger.

One said the change is ‘honestly the most ridiculous and disgraceful thing I’ve ever heard, @McDonaldsUK you should be ashamed of yourselves!’

Whilst another said they would need some time to come to terms with the situation: ‘Just found out McDonald’s is removing chicken legend off their menu. I’m going to need a few days to process this.’

McDonald’s pulled the plug on the Chicken Legend to make way for new items on its menu. The fast food chain is currently celebrating its McNuggets’ 40th birthday by releasing four dips and a brand new burger

And now, more than six months since the departure of the delicious chicken sandwich people are still just as upset about it.

Taking to Twitter one person penned: ‘I’m a bit late on finding out about it but I’m so sad that McDonald’s doesn’t do Chicken Legend anymore.’

While another fan wrote sadly: “It’s so disappointing that McDonald’s don’t do Chicken Legends anymore.”

A Twitter account set up purely in tribute to the burger added: ‘187 days since my last chicken legend. when will the anguish end?’

While many urged the burger aficionados to bring back the tasty treat.

“McDonald’s needs to hurry up and bring back the chicken legend,” announced someone else.

The new dips are welcomed by fans who have been crying out for new flavours for years.
