Meghan Markle reveals her top cooking tip – and it’s something you wouldn’t expect
Meghan Markle is known to be a huge fan of cooking, and she used to share her recipes on a bog called The Tig, which is now-defunct.
But luckily, there’s an old video that gives away one of Meghan’s most trusty tips when it comes to the kitchen and it involves lettuce!
When appearing on the TODAY programme in 2016, the Duchess of Sussex, 38, revealed that she likes to grill lettuce to boost its flavour.
At the time, Meghan was filmed during a TV interview and she made a delicious looking grilled caesar salad with shrimp dish.
Talking to the host of the show at the time, Matt Lauer, Meghan said: “You can grill lettuce and it has the most amazing flavour.

“It holds up. You can grill radicchio, kale, whatever you want.
“You want to halve it lengthwise so that it ends up still keeping that base on there because ultimately you can end up holding it like a hand-held salad."
Meghan continued: “They’re going to cook really quickly, but again because it’s a sturdy lettuce it’s not going to break down.
“You’ll get a nice char mark.”
Since marrying Prince Harry, Meghan has continued to show off her love of cooking.
In September, it was revealed that a 2008 cookbook she had collaborated with the Hubb Community Kitchen on had raised over £500,000 for charity.

The Duchess continued to make personal visits to the kitchen which she first visited in 2018.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently spent their first Christmas with son Archie in Canada, and their first engagement of the New Year is themed around their trip.
After six weeks away from royal duties, the married couple will kickstart 2020 by visiting Canada House in Manchester where they will meet with Her Excellency Ms Janice Charette, who is the High Commissioner in Canada to the UK.

They are also expected to meet with staff to thank them for the warm hospitality they received in Canada during their recent break.
Archie's parents last visited Canada House in March 2019 to mark Commonwealth Day, where they met with young Canadians from the worlds of fashion, the arts, business and academia.
They heard about the individuals' experiences as expats as well as the opportunities they had received as young people within the Commonwealth.
