Natasha Lyonne brought a purse full of cigarettes to the 2019 Met Gala
Natasha Lyonne looked smoking at the 2019 Met Gala.
The actress, 40, arrived on the “Camp: Notes on Fashion”-themed red carpet wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier spring 2019 jumpsuit inspired by Klaus Nomi with huge, pointy shoulders constructed in crisscrossed swaths of blue and white.
She completed the look with tons of David Webb diamonds, including the brand’s “Madison Happy Days” earrings, two bracelets and three rings featuring large sapphires, brilliant-cut diamonds and 18k gold.
But the accessory that really stole the show was the “Russian Doll” star’s lucite and gold purse, which was shaped like an oversized pill and filled to the brim with cigarettes, with a black lighter resting on top.
Perhaps the choice was a nod to her chain-smoking character on the hit Netflix show, or maybe Lyonne just needed to make sure she got her nicotine fix.
Either way, she clearly didn’t hear about this year’s ban on smoking in the bathroom.
