People left in stitches as most British memorial plaque ever seen on bench
There are many things that British people are proud of – such as being able to form an orderly queue and managing to get more than zero points at Eurovision.
But, what most Brits pride themselves on is their cracking sense of humour and banter.
So when a walker stumbled across a bench, they were astounded when they took a closer look at the memorial plaque fitted onto it.
Now, most plaques read a loving message in memoriam to the person who had passed away.
However, this particular little metal sign has been branded the “most British plaque ever” after it’s hilarious engraved words have left people giggling.
A picture of the bench with the silver plaque attached was posted to Reddit, with the message reading: “In loving memory of Huw Davies.
“Used to sit here and shout ‘f*** off”’ at seagulls.”
Well, at least it is a very original!
Left in stitches at the very British plaque, many people fled to the comments to praise the memorial.
One person commented: “Perhaps the seagulls would miss them too.”
Another user giggled: “I hope they died doing what they loved. (Though maybe not because of it).”
Whilst a third person voiced: “We’ve all been there to be honest. Huw just had that more dedication.”
Someone else chuckled: “Touching memorial.”
And, a fifth person noted: “All jokes aside that’s what I expect from a British or Australian person.”
Elsewhere, Brits troll American tourists by recommending 'Big Tescos' and 'Bude Tunnel'.
And, American who lived in UK for 5 years shares things they miss most about Britain.
