Royal baby pictures: How does Harry and Meghan’s baby compare to other royal tots?

Meghan Markle, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, have finally introduced the new royal baby to the world.

In the adorable pictures the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have covered the newborn in a white shawl.

At the photo call at Windsor Castle the new mum declared “it’s been magic”.

Speaking in St George’s Hall, Meghan said of the two-day-old baby: “He has the sweetest temperament, he is really calm and he’s been the dream. It’s been a special couple of days.”

They also revealed the name of the baby on their Instagram page – Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Princess Charlotte:

Princess Charlotte was born on May 2, 2015, and is the second child of William and Kate.

She was the smallest of their babies, weighing 8lbs 3oz.

Prince Louis:

Prince Louis is the third and last of William and Kate’s babies.

He was born at 1.01am on April 23, 2018.

He weighed 8lbs 7oz, and was the biggest of the three.

Prince William:

Prince William was born on one 21, 1982 at the Lindo Wing.

Princess Diana told her biographer, Andrew Morton: “William had to be induced because I couldn’t handle the press pressure any longer.”

Prince Harry:

Prince Harry was born a week early at 4.20pm on September 15, 984 at the Lindo Wing.

Princess Diana was in labour for nine hours and read a book while Prince Charles was sleeping next to her.

Prince Charles was born at Buckingham Palace on November 14, 1948.

His mother, Queen Elizabeth, was only 22 at the time, and she was in labour for 30 hours.

Queen Elizabeth:

Queen Elizabeth II was born at 2.40am on April 21, 1926.

She was born at 17 Bruton Street in Mayfair, which was the home of her grandparents.
