Trendy seafood restaurant ruffles feathers with stuffed duck neck dish for £18

A trendy seafood restaurant has ruffled a few feathers online after posting an image of its latest dish.

Western Laundry in north London has received positive reviews in the past for its up-market menu.

However, Instagram fans were recently stumped when the hotspot showed off its stuffed duck neck for £18.

An image showing a duck's head and neck on a plate had been stuffed with turnips and lentils.

Meanwhile, a separate photo listed the price of the dish on a menu which also featured smoked eel and mackerel.

One Instagram user wrote: "No that is too much," while others actually thought it looked delicious.

The duck dish was the third most expensive on Thursday's menu, with duck breast, cabbage and bacon as the priciest costing £26.

Western Laundry, which opened in 2017, was positively reviewed in The Guardian by well-known critic Jay Rayner.

He said the venue was a "class act" as he described it as a "smart, skilled kitchen with some tables attached".

Previously, a restaurant worker slammed customers' "annoying" habits that irk staff.

Alana, from the US, took to her @alanafinewoman account on TikTok to vent about the annoying habits.

The TikTok user told her 451,000 followers that customers often come in with no idea about the time they have booked a table for.

She also said they regularly don't know what name a booking should be under, or if a reservation was made at all.

The video began: "Time for another restaurant story, it happened six times this week."

Acting as a clueless customer, she said: "Hi, I'm here meeting a few people" to which Alana asked "Ok do they have a reservation?"

"They might" replied the customer casually.

Alana began asking what name the reservation would be booked under if there even was one, and the lady had no idea.
