Where Love Island 2021 stars are now including shock split and moving in
Love Island is making its highly anticipated return to our screens in June 2022 and whilst we can't wait to gossip and gush over the latest round of contestants, we're also left to wonder… What ever happened to last year's favourites?
Applications for the new series opened in January, and as rumours start to circulate around the secret glamorous new cast, work is underway on prepping the shows brand new six-bedroom villa in Mallorca.
With just four weeks before a fresh batch of sexy singletons are set to land, and the first teaser trailer for the series released, let's take a look at where some of Love Island 2021 are now – including a shocking split that nobody had expected.
Standout favourite Millie Court, 25, who won her season with controversial beau Liam Reardon, has had some of the most success.
She released a clothing line with online retailer ASOS in what is believed to be the biggest deal in Islander history, and is the latest face of the global brand.
Millie recently shared some behind the scenes snaps of a trip to LA, where she had been working on her latest collection ahead of its launch in April.
She also has her own set of lashes with eyelash brand Eylure.
Liam, 22, is a little more lowkey following his time in the villa.
He was a bricklayer before the show, and wants to use his skills renovating homes in Wales; although the couple purchased an incredible £1m home together in Millie's native home of Essex in 2021.
Not quite Wales, but there's still plenty of time.
Rumours of a split plagued the glamorous pair earlier this year, but speculation was put to bed after they enjoyed a romantic trip to Paris.
Liberty Poole and Kaz Kamwi
Birmingham beauty Liberty Poole might not have left the island having found love (cough, Jake) but she did steal the hearts of the nation.
The 22 year old former waitress unveiled a spanking lingerie collection with Boux Avenue in 2021, before appearing on ITVs popular skating competition Dancing on Ice.
The reality TV star is reportedly in a new relationship with a carpenter, despite fellow Islander Faye Winter sparking rumours of a romance with her dancing partner Joe Johnson.
Speculation aside, if there's one relationship we can report on for definite, it's between Liberty and her BFF Kaz Kamwi.
The pair both appeared on Love Island 2021, and although Liberty made it to week eight as a newly single pringle (again, Jake – we're looking at you), Kaz made it to the grand final alongside 26 year old estate agent Tyler Cruickshank.
Kyler made their relationship official during an episode of the show and it seemed like the fairytale ending for our dream on-screen couple.
Sadly their love affair didn't survive the honeymoon phase and after only four months of dating, the two split.
Tyler said the 'pressure to be perfect' was their downfall after facing scrutiny and abuse from the public online.
He added: "I didn’t understand why there was so much pressure on me and Kaz to be the perfect couple.
"They liked us so much to get us to the final but then you’re bombarded with all this hatred. It was weird to come out and see all that abuse. Ultimately it ended up tearing us down."
Faye Winter and Teddy Soares
Faye Winter and Teddy Soares had a roaring relationship on the show and were plagued with abusive messages online, as well as complaints to Ofcom in the region of 25,000.
Yet, fiery personalities aside, the pair are far from splitting up, having revealed earlier this year that they'll be "together forever" and have plans to have "three kids".
They've even welcomed two cats to their home in London. "Don't all get too excited guys, but there are two cats living with us," Faye announced on Instagram.
"I'm sure they will make an appearance on my Instagram and you will certainly see them. They are beautiful boys and I love them so much."
Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromoloran
Chloe Burrows and boyfriend Toby Aromolaran have been 'doing bits' since their time in the villa, and are still very much in love.
Chloe, 26, has been named as the first ever face of JD Women whilst Toby has gone down the seemingly traditional post-Love Island route for a guy by becoming a brand ambassador for BoohooMAN, following in the footsteps of previous heartthrob Alex Bowen.
He is still playing football for Essex-based team, Hashtag United.
They're not the first couple to have been plagued with rumours of a split, but they both feature heavily on one another's social media, so we're think they're safe for now.
Together, they live in a £1m mansion where – wait for it – the one and only Henry VIII used to live.
Double no whey.
We couldn't forget to include Brighton bombshell Lucinda Strafford, who, much like Chloe, coined a few catchphrases of her own.
The 21 year old has been on-again off-again with her footballer ex Aaron Connolly for the past three years.
Currently single, the reality star has promised to be "loving me, myself and I" according to a Q&A on her Instagram stories.
That all sounds great, but we think it might have something to do with her collaboration with I Saw It First.
She was often spotted wearing the brand in the villa, so it makes sense that the young businesswoman would take this first step into fashion.
Isn't fashion everyone's first love, anyway?
Love Island is expected to air on June 6, and will be hosted by TV presenter Laura Whitmore.
