The couple seems very happy, laughing with Scots and with one another. A body language expert analysed the appearances for Express.co.uk.
Judi James told Express.co.uk how it might seem strange for William to appear so happy during this visit, given recent family dramas.
However, she linked his 10-year marriage to Kate to his apparent joy.
Judi told Express.co.uk: “It is a pretty counter-intuitive thought to imagine William and Kate might actually be looking happier together (and on solo jaunts) right now but that does appear to be the message from their body language recently.
“On top of all the heartbreak and anger over Harry and the recent grief over Prince Philip’s death, it might also have been expected that William in particular could emerge looking wary and even rather withdrawn.
“The opposite appears to be true, though.”
Kate Middleton and William: Experts on 'quips' between couple
In fact, the expert claimed William appears happier than ever, especially in his relationship with his wife Kate.
Judi said: “William has looked at his most relaxed and accessible in Scotland and his signals of affection and admiration for his wife have reached a new peak.
“He looks like a man who might have accepted their recent surge in popularity but without the edge of concern that intense levels of interest might compromise their privacy.
“He clearly soaks up Kate’s new heightened levels of confidence and looks more than happy to sit back now and again to enjoy watching her take the spotlight.

“His gestures like the loving back-pat suggest high levels of approval for everything she does.”
This element of their relationship was exemplified when Kate turned her hand to a new skill, DJing.
Judi analysed the video, which was taken at the East Lothian Scottish Violence Reduction Centre.
Kate created her own sing, which may have needed more work.
William joked about it, and said the song was “hurting my ears” and claimed it “sounds like an injured cat”.
The Duchess herself mocked her musical endeavor.
“Sorry for leaving such a terrible song. Delete it, delete it!” she said.
Judi said: “Kate looks back at William around four times, even placing a hand to her chest in a gesture of submission as she giggles with embarrassment but each time he pretends to ignore her although we can see his shoulders are shaking with laughter once she turns back to the deck.
“In the end, she even holds one hand out in an invitation for him to take over but he raises a splayed hand in a refusal gesture that makes her laugh even more.”
The Duchess has wowed with her style on the trip, dressing diplomatically.
Kate Middleton wore a scarf in a tartan pattern with a nod to her title.
The Strathearn tartan scarf was worn as Kate and William are the Earl and Countess of Strathearn.
