Worlds first Gin and Sonic experience could add new dimension to boozy tipple

A new gin experience is set to add a new dimension to the taste of your tipple.

Warner's Gin is launching a unique experience in London where its farm-grown gins will be "sonically seasoned".

Sonic seasoning is a scientific method that pairs sound with drink which is about to bring a new dimension to the flavour.

As the gin of the British Countryside, Warner's will be sonically seasoning its drinks with a rural soundtrack.

It hopes to transport people to where the gin is distilled on Falls Farm Northamptonshire.

Those visiting the experience will pair their drink with a set of headphones and transform their gin and tonic into gin and sonic.

It will take place at The East Piazza, in Covent Garden, from 12pm-8pm Monday through to Thursday and 11am-9pm Friday-Sunday.

The experience is kicking off from June 1 until July 1 so it'll run for a whole month.

Walk-ins are accepted but you can book a slot for guided gin tastings by emailing [email protected]

And it's entirely free.

Drinkers will be able to enjoy the gin with the urban soundtrack of car horns, traffic and construction.

Research says listening to soundscapes set in rural surroundings will help drinkers draw their attention to the origins of the product.

Real botanicals from the family farm will also be on site to enhance the sense of smell, transporting event goers even further.

Tom Warner, Co-CEO and co-founder, said: "When you've been in the city for a while, it can be hard to remember how invigorated the countryside can make you feel.

"The sounds, smells and the flavours. This summer our goal is to unite these senses and bring people together to taste the great British countryside with every sip.

"Each sip event goers will be transported to the British countryside, where we grow and harvest ingredients for our 100% natural range of gin and 0% spirits.

"We all associate certain sounds with good drinking experiences. But only now can you be totally transported from the city to the countryside through taste and sound."

Classic serves such as Warner's London Dry Gin and Indian Tonic and Warner's 0% spirits range will be available on site.

Each serve has been carefully paired with sounds from the countryside to heighten the real countryside-grown flavours within.

Exclusive cocktails will also be available at the pop-up and include the Bee & T, Gin & Frolic, Berry Cheeky Spritz and Skinny Dip.

To garnish the cocktails, people will be able to pull from the on-site garnish gardens, which offer a wide range grown on Warner's family farm.

Bottles of Warner's gin will be available to purchase at the pop-up.

Gin fans will also have the option to choose from a range of personalised bottles live at the event, including a limited edition "Platinum Jubilee" bottle.
