MANCHESTER UNITED star Marcus Rashford was “impressed” with Mino Raiola after meeting the super-agent last year.
The Italian-born Dutch negotiator boasts a huge array of big-name clients from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Red Devils’ club-record signing Paul Pogba.
Rashford's form meanwhile has led to interest from La Liga giants Barcelona – and Raiola is believed to have wanted a piece of the action.
The Athletic claim the striker's two brothers Dwaine and Dane, who represent the England international through D N May Sports Management, had several introductory meetings with Raiola in 2019.
But conversations were believed to be more around a future partnership rather than a transfer to Barca.
And both parties were “left impressed by the other” but ultimately Rashford and his brothers declined the offer of assistance at that time.
AC MILAN are reportedly plotting to bring Massimiliano Allegri back to the San Siro before Manchester United get their hands on him.
Gazzetta dello Sport claims the fallen Italian giants are ready to return to the man who won their last Serie A title in 2011.
And Milan apparently want no-nonsense Allegri to become their very own Sir Alex Ferguson as they look to climb back up the table and compete with Juventus and local rivals Inter.
Allegri, 52, has long been tipped for the Man Utd hot seat after winning five titles at Juve.
HOWEVER, Robbie Savage himself has disagreed with Paul Parker's claim that Scott McTominay is a modern day version of him.
The former midfielder was famously a part of United's “Class of 92” alongside the likes of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and the Neville brothers.
But the 39-cap former Wales international failed to make a single Premier League appearance under Sir Alex Ferguson and joined Crewe in 1994.
Following Parker's comment, Savage took to twitter to hit back.
FORMER Manchester United star Paul Parker has taunted Scott McTominay, saying he's just a “modern-day Robbie Savage”.
He told Eurosport: “Scott McTominay is a good example of the problem [at Man Utd].
“He just runs around trying to kick people, thumping the badge… he’s a modern-day Robbie Savage. You need more than that.
“If people are saying United are missing McTominay, they’re not really Man Utd fans.
“The reason he’s out injured is because he tried to kick someone and hurt himself.
“If that’s what people think United are, then they weren’t around for the good times.”
